Ua Pau...
Last night was a wonderful and thoughtful evening with Molonai and his beautiful wife Lindsay. Molonai shared his vision of doing business with a sense of place and introduced a proposal to create an Impact Investing Fund with the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber Foundation which spurred a lot of comment and sharing of manaʻo.  The fund would support small businesses and programs within Maui County and communities served to enhance the quality of life and create a sense of place.  Unique to this effort is not only up-front funding and enabling of culturally sensitive projects but the sharing of both equity and a cashflow from any profits. The fund also intends to provide business education and management career opportunities for the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber and itʻs members. Several members shared their thoughts -both enthusiasm and cautions of things not to forget.

Mahalo nui to Maui Tropical Plantation for being such a wonderful venue; to member Pukalani Superette for the ono pupus and delicious cake for desert; to members, the Blackburns, Maui Land Broker & Property Management Inc, for the use of their screen and projector; and to all the attendees and guests that shared stories.
